The Dogs in the neighborhood noticed him carrying the basket and soon discovered what was in it. They made several attempts to steal it from him. But he always guarded it faithfully. Then one day all the Dogs in the neighborhood got together and met him on his way with the basket. The Dog tried to run away from them. But at last he stopped to argue. That was his mistake. They soon made him feel so ridiculous that he dropped the basket and seized a large piece of roast meat intended for his master's dinner. “Very well,“ he said, “you divide the rest.“ Do not stop to argue with temptation. Story: Donkey And Load

Story:    Of Salt A Merchant, driving his Donkey homeward from the seashore with a heavy load of salt, came to a river crossed by a shallow ford. They had crossed this river many times before without accident, but this time the Donkey slipped and fell when halfway over. And when the Merchant at last got him to his feet, much of the salt had melted away. Delighted to find how much lighter his burden had become, the Donkey finished the journey very happily. Next day the Merchant went for another load of salt. On the way home the Donkey, remembering what had happened at the ford, purposely let himself fall into the water, and again got rid of most of his burden. The angry Merchant immediately turned about and drove the Donkey back to the seashore, where he loaded him with two great baskets of sponges. At the ford the Donkey again tumbled over; but when he had scrambled to his feet, it was a very disconsolate Donkey that dragged himself homeward under a load ten times he
Story: The Astronomer An absent minded astronomer was interested in nothing, but simply staring and staring at the stars. Every night he would go out, and he would look and study them in the sky. One evening he was walking along as usual, his head in the air and his eyes fixed on the stars. He didn‘t notice that there was a deep well in front of him. As he made his way along, he suddenly tripped and fell into the well. “ Help“ he shouted, “ Help me someone!“ He sat at the bottom of the well, soaked to the skin and calling for help. A passerby heard his shouts and peered down into the hole. “Please help me!“ begged the astronomer. “ I was so busy studying the stars that I didn‘t notice the well.“ “That‘s your fault“ the passerby told him. “ You really should have looked where you were going!“ It‘s no use fixing our minds on higher things, like the stars and the sky, if we ignore what is going on around us. He then said, “If you wish me to visit you, you must build a very large house. But I warn you, it will have to be a tremendous place, as my people are very very numerous, and take up a lot of room. In fact, all the animals expressed their sorrow, and came one by one to his den, where the Lion ate them all. After many of the beasts had thus disappeared, the Fox discovered the trick and, presenting himself to the Lion, stood outside the cave and asked him how he was. “ I am very sick“ replied the Lion, “ but why do you stand outside. Please come in so we can talk!“ “ No, thank you,“ said the Fox. “ I notice that there are many footprints entering your cave, but I see no trace of any returning.“ He who is wise is warned by the misfortune of others. Story: Man And Faun A long time ago a Man met a Faun in the forest and succeeded in making friends with him. The two soon became the best of comrades, living together in the Man's hut. But one cold winter evening, as they were walking homeward, the Faun saw the Man blow on his fingers. “Why do you do that?“ asked the Faun. “To warm my hands,“ the Man replied. When they reached home the Man prepared two bowls of porridge. These he placed steaming hot on the table, and the comrades sat down very cheerfully to enjoy the meal. But much to the Faun's surprise, the Man began to blow into his bowl of porridge. “Why do you do that?“ he asked. “To cool my porridge,“ replied the Man. The Faun sprang quickly to his feet and made for the door. “Goodbye,“ he said, “I've seen enough. A fellow that blows hot and cold in the same breath can not be friends with me!“ The man who talks for both sides is not to be trusted by either.

But he had a queer, fluttery feeling inside him, for, you know, he was very much afraid of the Fox. “Your family and mine and all other animals have agreed to forget their differences and live in peace and friendship from now on forever. Travelers ought to share alike the fortunes or misfortunes of the road.“ “No, no,“ replied the other angrily. “I found it and I am going to keep it.“ Just then they heard a shout of “Stop, thief!“ and looking around, saw a mob of people armed with clubs coming down the road. The man who had found the purse fell into a panic. “We are lost if they find the purse on us,“ he cried. “No, no,“ replied the other, “You would not say 'we' before, so now stick to your 'I'. Stop your crying, or I will give you to the Wolf!“ Surprised but delighted at the prospect of so delicious a meal, the Wolf settled down under an open window, expecting every moment to have the child handed out to him. But though the little one continued to cry, the Wolf waited all day in vain. Then, toward nightfall, he heard the Mother's voice again as she sat down near the window to sing and rock her baby to sleep. “There, child, there! The Wolf shall not get you. No, no! Jesus' First Disciples - Five Men Meet Jesus- John 1:35-51 MANY PEOPLE WHO heard John preach by the riverside believed his words, and they began to look for the coming of the King from heaven. From day to day they waited, eager to hear the glad news that the King had arrived. They believed that he would set up a kingdom of Judea, like the kingdom of David had been. And they believed that the Jews would be the favored people in this great kingdom.        One day after Jesus had returned from the lonely wilderness, John the Baptist saw him walking along the road near the river. And John cried out, "Behold the Lamb of God, who bears the sin of the world!"        Two young men from Galilee were with John that day and heard him speak. These young men had been disciples, or learners, of John, for they were interested in the teachings of God. When they heard John's words concerning Jesus, the Lamb of God, they turned at once to follow this wonderful person. Pe

And what happens with the civil case thereafter? Here we will focus on how a civil case between Party A (a plaintiff) and Party B (a defendant) would progress in the US district courts. Civil cases in the district courts are governed by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), which went through significant amendments in 2007. Nearly all states have similar rules in their state court systems. Jesus Tells Parables of the Kingdom of Heaven- Matt. 13:1-53; Mark 4:1-34 ONE DAY JESUS went out of Capernaum with his disciples and walked by the seaside. Great crowds followed along the beach; for they thought he might be going away from their city again, and they wished to go with him. They pressed so close behind that Jesus stepped into a boat at the water's edge and sat down to teach them, while they stood listening on the shore.        Jesus began to teach them by parables. These parables were short stories which he told to show them truths of the gospel. While he sat in the boat he told them four parables. The first one was about the man who went out to scatter seeds in his field. Jesus called him a sower. And here is the story:        "One day a sower went out to the field with a bag of grain and began to scatter the seeds upon the ground. The breeze caught each handful he threw while walking to and fro, and helped to scatter the grain. But some of the
