A yet to be idetified officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Oyo/Osun command has allegedly shot a member of the proscribed National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State. https://supersage.io/n/56206db9 DAILY POST gathered on Saturday that the incident occurred at Moniya park in Iseyin town, one of the towns in Oyo State, Friday evening. It was learnt that the officer shot the executive member of the proscribed NURTW, identified as Mr. Lateef Aboki at the Moniya park in Iseyin. The said officer was among three others in mufti and in a private Lexus Jeep. They were said to have gone to the park while chasing a public transport vehicle to the park on suspicion of the vehicle carrying a bag of foreign rice. The customs officers immediately left the scene when Aboki was hit by a bullet. Aboki was later rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. The Lexus Jeep belonging to the Customs Officer has been towed to the Police station in Iseyin by the Divisional Police

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has said the South should produce the next president of Nigeria. El-Rufai stated this during an interview on BBC Hausa on Saturday. According to him, he will not support a Northerner to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. The Governor also denied he has ambition to contest for presidency in three years. “In Nigerian politics, there is a system of rotation, in which everyone agrees that if the north rules for eight years, the south will rule for eight years. “That is why I came out and said that after President Buhari has been in office for eight years, no northerner should run for office. Let the Southerners also have eight years,” El-Rufai said. He added: “It has been said that I have loved the presidency since I was a minister in the FCT. This is nonsense. I do not want the Nigerian presidency.”

Nigerian veteran actor and producer, Yemi Solade has cried out over the present state of things in the movie industry. Yemi Solade in an interview with Tribune disclosed that the Nigerian movie industry is now full of Yahoo boys and prostitutes. Juventus have pulled off a huge shock move and appointed their former midfielder Andrea Pirlo as first team manager. The news comes on the same day the club parted ways with Maurizio Sarri, following Juventus'  Champions League  exit at the hands of French side Lyon.
