Manchester United have reportedly opened talks to sign 'the next Rafael Varane' who is wanted by Real Madrid. Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has opened talks with Monaco over a potential transfer for their 19-year-old centre-back Benoit Badiashile, according to reports in France. Real Madrid are also in negotiations with the youngster, who has drawn many comparisons to Rafael Varane. United are in the market for a new defensive partner for Harry Maguire as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to complete his squad overhaul. Bournemouth ace Nathan Ake was looked at but Manchester City are on the verge of capturing the Dutchman. Another option the Red Devils are considering is Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, whose agent has flown to the UK for talks with Woodward. United are keeping their options open and have apparently started to negotiate a fee with Monaco for Badiashile. French outlet TF1 claim Solskjaer is keen to add the speedy defender to his ranks.
