Atletico watching Werner

Atletico Madrid are on the trail of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and could join city rivals Real in a fight for his signature,

reports Bild.

Werner was scouted by Atletico during last Friday’s 2-0 home win over Augsburg amid suggestions he is being viewed as a long-term replacement for Antoine Griezmann.

Leipzig have insisted that the Germany international will not leave in the summer, but an impressive World Cup could see clubs lining up to sign him.
