Main Characteristics
Standard logic (Mobile/SDH/SONET/PDH)
ConnectMaster supports TDM network technologies such as SDH, SONET and PDH. This module also provides the following features:- Built-in standard capacities and hierarchies for SDH/PDH and SONET.
- Ability to create, modify and understand TDM topologies and circuits.
- Representation of encapsulated services such as Ethernet/PDH over SDH. Channel aggregation.
- Views and diagrams showing the physical and logical layers of the services.
- Support for standard protection mechanisms such as MSP, MSPRing SNCP and
- Link Capacity Adjustment Schemes (LCAS).
- Supports non-standardised structures.
WDM
ConnectMaster supports WDM network technologies such as DWDM, CWDM and ROADM. This module also provides the following features:- Flexibility in either defining standards-based or custom WDM capacity structures.
- Creation of WDM multiplex sections, Optical Transmission Sections and Optical Channel trails.
- WDM Channels can be used as bearers for other transmission objects such as
- TDM and Ethernet transmission.
- Capacity reporting and channel allocations.
- Circuit routing.
- Representation of standard card types such as Mux/Demux cards, transponders, muxponders, wave splitters and band splitters.
- Pre-configuration of channel to port mappings, allowing quick and easy deployment of new circuits.
Ethernet with IP and VLAN Management
ConnectMaster supports Ethernet network technologies and topologies such as Ethernet over SDH, Metro Ethernet and Layer 2 VPNs. This module also provides the following features:- Creation of switches and routers with associated card and SFP structures.
- Creation of aggregate Ethernet segments
- Creation of Ethernet services and trails routing through aggregate sections
- Creation of multipoint Ethernet networks
- Representation of Ethernet ring protection protocols including Spanning Tree, LAG and MC-LAG
- Ethernet over SDH Support (Including LCAS Protection)
- Management of Class of Service (CoS) and Quality of Service (QoS) parameters.
- Allocation of IP addresses to switches, routers and ports. VLAN management – A library of VLAN networks with VLANs for allocation (includes QinQ)
Logical Module: MPLS
ConnectMaster supports MPLS technologies and topologies. This module also provides the following features:- Ability to record and maintain the relationship with lower layers for Clouds
- Accurate documentation of Label Switch Paths, Pseudowires and Service Access Points
