Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford to face his former side Manchester United and the Juventus forward was seemed to be in a good frame of mind in the Media centre where he was being questioned and was caught on camera putting on a wristwatch similar to WizKid own. The Champions League encounter against his former club Manchester United was always going to be a match that caught the attention.

And the player that left Real Madrid in the summer’s most sensational transfer will be hoping to dazzle opponents on the pitch tonight as much as he did some of the nearby photographers at the press conference.

The Jacob & Co timepiece from the Caviar Torubillon range is encrusted with 424 white and red diamonds, one similar to that reportedly owned by our very own Starboy CEO Wizkid, and worth around two million euros.

The watch didn’t, of course, take the shine away from the words coming out of the famous number seven’s mouth. He did, though, speak about the rape allegations made against him, his return to Old Trafford and the game.

“I don’t want to compare Real Madrid with Juventus, they are both unbelievable teams and fantastic clubs,” he said at the press conference when asked about Los Blancos’ poor run of results without him.

“I’m happy to be at such a great team like Juventus and it’s a new chapter in my life after Manchester United and Real Madrid. “This is not really the right time to ask about Real Madrid. “It’s not up to me to speak about Real Madrid.”

Earlier in the day, Isco has said that Real Madrid can’t cry about someone who didn’t want to be at the club.

“That seems fine to me,” he said in response to a question about the midfielder’s remarks.

The other major discussion point was the allegations made against him by Kathryn Mayorga.

“We did the statement two weeks ago,” he said. “Of course I’m not going to lie on this situation. “My lawyers are confident and I am too.

“The truth always comes in first position. “I know I am an example, 100 percent, on the pitch and off the pitch.

“I always smile, I’m blessed, I play at a fantastic club, I have a fantastic family, I’m healthy, I have everything. “The rest does not affect me.”

Individual awards were also mentioned, with the player stating that he isn’t too disappointed not to have won The Best.

“This is not the most important thing, I’m not too upset about individual awards,” he said. “My last two months in Juventus were amazing and everything has gone well. “The adaptation has gone well. “The awards don’t mean everything, it’s not a problem.”

As for the game on Tuesday night, it’s a return to his former club and he spoke about United and about his expectations for the match.

“It’s a huge emotional thing for me to come back,” he told the reporters. “I know all about the history, I won trophies here.

“Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I would like to express my best wishes to him. “It’s going to be a tough match.

“Manchester United are strong, but if we play the way that the coach wants we have a good chance to win the game. “However, we can’t underestimate our opponents.”

The match kicks off at 8:00 pm Nigerian time on Tuesday.

Coronavirus: 'The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing'

"The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing," says Andrew O'Dwyer, who is recovering after being infected with the new coronavirus following a skiing trip to Italy in late February. "I've had worse flu, without a doubt - but I wouldn't want to catch it again," he says during his self-isolation at home in south-west London. Despite having type 1 diabetes, Andrew says having the virus "isn't anything to worry about for me personally". He adds that the fever he experienced is "no different to normal flu-type symptoms". "I've not been concerned," he says. The severity of symptoms can vary widely among people. Those who are older and have pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) are more likely to become severely ill and can need hospital treatment. There have been 10 coronavirus-related deaths so far in the UK. Andrew was told the virus wasn't circulating in the resort ...

Babajide made a Stunning Revelation about the Forthcoming Governorship Election in Edo State

Babajide a veteran journalist, while speaking on the popular program “Journalist Hangout” on TVC news Friday August 7, made a stunning revelation about the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, says all political parties should shown violence because election is not a do or die affair. Babajide while reacting said “ I have to say I have my fears about these forthcoming election, and I hope my fears does not come past. As we can see the shenanigans in Edo state it is now visible that it is no more Oshiomole against Obaseki, it is now PDP against APC which could be devastating in the light of the politics going on now. Obaseki himself divided the APC, because all the lawmakers in Edo state belong to the APC but he divided them by inaugurating some lawmakers, and refusing to inaugurate others. Right now as it stands 17 lawmakers have decided to align with the APC and just 7 lawmakers is with the Governor. For me I think Obaseki should have averted these problem by just issuing a...

THE MASCARENE PARROT

The Mascarene parrot was 35 cm (14 in) in length with a large red bill and long, rounded tail feathers. Its legs were red, and it had naked red skin around the eyes and nostrils. It had a black facial mask and partially white tail feathers, but the colouration of the body, wings and head is unclear. Descriptions from life indicate the body and head were ash grey, and the white part of the tail had two dark central feathers. In contrast, descriptions based on stuffed specimens state that the body was brown and the head bluish but do not mention the dark central tail feathers. This may be due to the specimens having changed colour as a result of aging and exposure to light, as well as other forms of damage. Very little is known about the bird in life. The Mascarene parrot was first mentioned in 1674, and live specimens were later brought to Europe, where they lived in captivity . The species was scientifically described in 1771. Only two stuffed specimens exist today, in Paris and Vienn...
