Report: Pogba has decided to leave Manchester United if they fail in THIS competition

Paul Pogba will reportedly leave Manchester United for former club Juventus this summer if the Old Trafford side fail to finish in the top four. The Frenchman has been linked with a return to Turin for a number of months now, especially during Jose Mourinho’s reign in the United dugout. The two of them endured a strained relationship last year, with many suggesting Pogba’s days at the club were numbered.

However, since the Portuguese left United the speculation surrounding Pogba has seemingly quietened down with him now loving his football again under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. But, it’s not all back to normal for the Red Devils, with Italian newspaper Tuttosport reporting the 25-year-old could still return to Turin this summer if his current club do not secure Champions League football for next season.

United are just a point behind Arsenal in fourth spot in the Premier League, but they face difficult fixtures against Chelsea and Manchester City as well as the Gunners themselves before the season is over.

It’s unknown how much would be needed to prize Pogba away from United, but Tuttosport claim he will not be willing to participate in Europa League football for another season. The 2018 World Cup-winner has enjoyed a return to form under Solskjaer, bagging nine goals and assisting seven others since Mourinho’s departure from the club. United’s next fixture is against Southampton on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Manchester City both look prepared to miss out on landing Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele, as per the player’s agent. The Daily Express claim that the Red Devils and La Liga giants FC Barcelona have been closely monitoring the France international’s progress this term with a view to tabling an offer when the next window reopens.

ESPN suggest that the Etihad giant are also pursuing the 21-year-old, but his agent Duro Ivanisevic has now claimed that he would favour to see his client sign for Serie A side Napoli, with his present market value set at about €80 million. This latest report represents a massive transfer blow for Manchester United and their City rivals, who are both attempting to reinforcements in the winter ahead of an important second stanza of the campaign.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has talked about his desire to sign another midfielder in the mould as Brazil international midfielder Fernandinho, who at the age of 33, is approaching the latter parts of his football career. The Red Devils meanwhile, are in between another major transitional period under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who will be trying to make his own mark on the team with an influx of new signings in January.

According to report, Duro Ivanisevic praised Tanguy Ndombele, talking up exactly why he is drawing interested from a number of top European teams. Man City or Man United could benefit from having a top player like Ndombele in their team and although is Serie A side appear to be leading the race at the moment, this report could still have some twists and turns before the transfer window come to a close in February.

Coronavirus: 'The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing'

"The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing," says Andrew O'Dwyer, who is recovering after being infected with the new coronavirus following a skiing trip to Italy in late February. "I've had worse flu, without a doubt - but I wouldn't want to catch it again," he says during his self-isolation at home in south-west London. Despite having type 1 diabetes, Andrew says having the virus "isn't anything to worry about for me personally". He adds that the fever he experienced is "no different to normal flu-type symptoms". "I've not been concerned," he says. The severity of symptoms can vary widely among people. Those who are older and have pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) are more likely to become severely ill and can need hospital treatment. There have been 10 coronavirus-related deaths so far in the UK. Andrew was told the virus wasn't circulating in the resort ...

THE MASCARENE PARROT

The Mascarene parrot was 35 cm (14 in) in length with a large red bill and long, rounded tail feathers. Its legs were red, and it had naked red skin around the eyes and nostrils. It had a black facial mask and partially white tail feathers, but the colouration of the body, wings and head is unclear. Descriptions from life indicate the body and head were ash grey, and the white part of the tail had two dark central feathers. In contrast, descriptions based on stuffed specimens state that the body was brown and the head bluish but do not mention the dark central tail feathers. This may be due to the specimens having changed colour as a result of aging and exposure to light, as well as other forms of damage. Very little is known about the bird in life. The Mascarene parrot was first mentioned in 1674, and live specimens were later brought to Europe, where they lived in captivity . The species was scientifically described in 1771. Only two stuffed specimens exist today, in Paris and Vienn...
