We Need Marriage But Most Guys Are Afraid To Come, Aisha Tells Audience in Kano

Aisha Abdullahi, a 400 level student of Biochemistry, Northwest University, Kano, has stated that most ladies in the university campuses want to marry but the guys are afraid to approach them when it comes to issue of marriage.

Aisha stated this during a lecture organized by the University Student Union titled " Marriage Challenges in the 21st Centuary" which was delivered yesterday in the school main campus located in Tudun Yola, Kano.

She said that most guys nowadays are after romantic love not real marriage that's why the number of ladies without marriage is increasing in the society. She gave an example with a guy that dated her for two solid years but when she brought the issue of marriage, he ran away.

She however attributed the issue to the materialistic life that most ladies are craving for as a sole reason as reason for the declining rate of marriage among youth.

When asked if she's ready to get married after finishing university she stated that it depends on wether she gets someone that's ready for marriage or not.

It was caused by a crop failure/drought and was exacerbated by the crown’s export of wheat abroad. In total, 5.6 - 9 million people died (it’s hard to get exact figures). And within huge statistics like these, are forgotten stories. These are individuals and families, who slowly faced the despair of knowing they had no food and would have no food in the near future.
