Ashley Young Names Man Utd Star Who Can Make PSG Scared

Ashley Young has warned the naysayers not to write off Manchester United as they attempt to rekindle their Champions League hopes in one of world football’s toughest venues. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men head to Paris Saint-Germain for the second leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday evening trailing 2-0 after a humbling experience at Old Trafford last month in what remains the only defeat they have suffered to date under their interim manager. PSG will run out as hot favourites to progress to the quarter-finals, but 33-year-old Young has advised them to take nothing for granted after seeing his team-mates revive their season since the Norwegian’s arrival. He said: “We know what we’re capable of. People can write us off. People were writing us off at the start of the season and people are writing us off now. It’s no different. “Obviously it’s going to be tough. It’s not going to be easy. We’ve got to go over there, win the ...

Atiku warns Nigerians that President Buhari is showing his true colours with controversial ballot-box snatchers statement

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate at the coming 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari that ballot-box snatchers will pay with their lives. Atiku, in a statement on Monday released by his media aide, Phrank Shaibu, said Buhari’s statement was incitement to electoral violence and an offence. Nigeria’s former vice president added that the incumbent President’s statement shows that the “retired general” is only showing his true colours and “complete” disregard for the country’s law. The statement read: “We were shocked to hear General Buhari live on national television threatening to kill people for an offence where no such proscription exists under law. The last time we looked the death-penalty was not a sanction of the 2010 election. In fact, threatening people with death in the context of an election is incitement to electoral violence, which ...

Following him in the second and third spots are Cristhian Stuani o...

Former Super Eagle star, Jay Jay Okocha to be arrested

A court has ordered the arrest of former Super Eagles star,  Austin Okocha , over tax evasion charges. This was ordered by the Lagos Division of the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere. Jay Jay Okocha has repeatedly failed to appear before the court to answer why he allegedly failed to pay his income taxes. However, on February 19, the prosecution had not effected the arrest forcing the judge to, again, adjourn till April 15 and ordered that the warrant is executed by then.

Trouble for Liverpool as Manchester United get extra boost ahead of Premier League clash

Manchester United attacking duo Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could return early from injury to face Liverpool this weekend, according to reports. The pair came off injured in United’s 2-0 home defeat against PSG in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie last Tuesday. United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had predicted his forwards would be sidelined for “two to three weeks”. However, The Mirror report the pair could make swifter returns to the side and play in the crunch clash against Liverpool on Sunday. The injuries could allow out of sorts Alexis Sanchez and out of favour Romelu Lukaku to get a start – while Marcus Rashford could also shift wid...

7 Best Goalkeepers in World Football Right Now

Between October 2017 and January 2018, and I really can’t believe that was more than a year ago, I did videos looking at the 7 greatest footballers of all time in every position, which culminated in our own HITC Sevens all time 23 man squad and starting XI. Of all those videos, including the final XI, by far the most viewed was the goalkeepers seven. So today we wanted to do a video on the seven best goalkeepers in world football right now, and depending on how many people watch it and what kind of response we get in the comments and on Twitter, we may do a similar format to the one we did over a year ago, going through every position before ending up with our own current world XI. That’s if it’s a roaring success though, today we’re just interested in goalkeepers, who are arguably the most important players on the pitch. To clarify, our seven is based on current ability. That isn’t current form, so we’re not going to discount a ‘keeper who ...
