HAZARD EXPLAINS HOW HENRY'S ADVICE LED TO GOAL VERSUS WEST BROM

A pair of brilliant strikes from the Belgium international papered over a patchy display as he challenged his team-mates to push for trophies
Eden Hazard demanded Chelsea push for silverware after inspiring a return to winning ways in the Premier League, with the Belgium international also crediting Thierry Henry's advice for one of his two goals against West Brom.
Hazard scored his superb brace either side of Victor Moses' 63rd-minute effort to secure a 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
Heavy defeats to Bournemouth and Watford left the reigning champions outside the top four, with questions swirling over Antonio Conte's future as head coach, but Hazard believed Chelsea showed the character needed to overcome another shaky start versus Alan Pardew's basement boys.
"We had two defeats but now we are back. We are Chelsea, we are the champions, we have to give everything," the 27-year-old told Sky Sports after moving to 15 goals on the season.
"Sometimes it happens, you win and you lose. Last season we were champions. The most important thing is to work together, talk together and that's what we did.
"We showed great character offensively and defensively."
Hazard credited Belgium assistant coach and former Arsenal great Thierry Henry with encouraging him to take more chances in front of goal.
"On the second one, when I go inside [from the flank], Thierry told me in the national team maybe I don't shoot enough," he explained.
"As you saw against Watford, I scored a goal when I shot [in a similar situation]. It comes with instinct. You don't think a lot, you just think about scoring."
Next up for Chelsea are home games against Hull City and Barcelona in the FA Cup and Champions League, and Hazard feels now is the time to salvage a season that has left Conte's men — like the rest of the chasing pack — well behind runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.
He added: "I think we need to be in the top four for the Champions League nest season and if we can take the FA Cup…
"We have a lot of games to play. It is not easy to win the Champions League but we will go for everything.
"We have a good team and good players and our target, when you play for Chelsea is to win trophies."

Coronavirus: 'The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing'

"The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing," says Andrew O'Dwyer, who is recovering after being infected with the new coronavirus following a skiing trip to Italy in late February. "I've had worse flu, without a doubt - but I wouldn't want to catch it again," he says during his self-isolation at home in south-west London. Despite having type 1 diabetes, Andrew says having the virus "isn't anything to worry about for me personally". He adds that the fever he experienced is "no different to normal flu-type symptoms". "I've not been concerned," he says. The severity of symptoms can vary widely among people. Those who are older and have pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) are more likely to become severely ill and can need hospital treatment. There have been 10 coronavirus-related deaths so far in the UK. Andrew was told the virus wasn't circulating in the resort ...

THE MASCARENE PARROT

The Mascarene parrot was 35 cm (14 in) in length with a large red bill and long, rounded tail feathers. Its legs were red, and it had naked red skin around the eyes and nostrils. It had a black facial mask and partially white tail feathers, but the colouration of the body, wings and head is unclear. Descriptions from life indicate the body and head were ash grey, and the white part of the tail had two dark central feathers. In contrast, descriptions based on stuffed specimens state that the body was brown and the head bluish but do not mention the dark central tail feathers. This may be due to the specimens having changed colour as a result of aging and exposure to light, as well as other forms of damage. Very little is known about the bird in life. The Mascarene parrot was first mentioned in 1674, and live specimens were later brought to Europe, where they lived in captivity . The species was scientifically described in 1771. Only two stuffed specimens exist today, in Paris and Vienn...
