How Wizkid And Tiwa Savage Disgraced Nigerians In South Africa But D’Banj Saved The Day

Over the weekend, the Global Citizen festival took place in South Africa. But a couple of things went wrong from the angle of two of Nigeria’s biggest artistes,
Wizkid and Tiwa Savage. A concerned Nigerian has reached out to music listeners on calibrating mediocrity. The guy took the singers apart following their shameful outing at the festival. Below is what he had to say;
Truth be told, true reporting is dead in Nigeria. No more critical review. We celebrate mediocre here in Nigeria. See wizkid performing on stage and seemed like no one was here. He was just walking and couldnt connect with the crowd. Infact, there was no communication with his DJ that he had to tell him twice to increase the tempo because the truth is, they were not feeling your wizkid!
Then Tiwa Savage…my Doro Tiwa went on stage to further embarrass the nation Naija further. Tiwa’s hypeman was shouting too much and drowning her voice on her own stage. It was a poor sight to behold! A Niniola or Yemi Alade would have shut the stage down with mesmerizing performances. A Davido, yes, same frog-voice Davido would have lit the stage on fire even with his ‘noise’. Though less vocal than Wizkid but his energy up and down any stage would have caused some havoc. Good havoc! the Tubaba would have on a ‘FIA’ level.
Then came the legendary Femi Kuti and perform true to his billing and to the rescue of his counterpart. Then came again the most incredible entertainer out of Africa, Dbanj. He was a million star on the stage. His stagecraft was electrifying. They loved his stage presence and could go on and on if there was time. Infact a South African lady mentioned that although Dbanj needs to enter studio with a good producer who will help make a hit, he had a star power that was rare among performing artistes.

“The truth is what sells our artistes here in Nigeria is just PR. No more critical review. Imagine wizkid saying live on stage, ‘let’s drop the African biggest song of the year in 2018’ and went on to play ‘soco’. That tha heck!! Who dashed him or the song biggest song of the year. Same mediocre artistes will be carting the highest numbers of awards every year when we have music power houses here in this country but never give the right platform or PR to shine! Once some of our so called big artistes drop songs, go to social media and come and see comments hailing some of those wackos and gibberish jingles that radio and TV stations would wash down our throat. Live performance at the Global Citizen concert really exposed some of our so-called African biggest artistes!
“Did you notice as everywhere was quiet in Nigeria after the concert after our PR paying artistes performed below par. That is how we are not calling a spade what it is. That is how our artistes are not been put under immense pressure to justify the heavy money been paid to them per show. Note this. When you have friends who hail every of your activities and cant look into your eyes and tell you the truth. Move asap or be ready for your own unpardonable downfall!”

Coronavirus: 'The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing'

"The worst bit is the uncontrollable coughing," says Andrew O'Dwyer, who is recovering after being infected with the new coronavirus following a skiing trip to Italy in late February. "I've had worse flu, without a doubt - but I wouldn't want to catch it again," he says during his self-isolation at home in south-west London. Despite having type 1 diabetes, Andrew says having the virus "isn't anything to worry about for me personally". He adds that the fever he experienced is "no different to normal flu-type symptoms". "I've not been concerned," he says. The severity of symptoms can vary widely among people. Those who are older and have pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) are more likely to become severely ill and can need hospital treatment. There have been 10 coronavirus-related deaths so far in the UK. Andrew was told the virus wasn't circulating in the resort ...

Babajide made a Stunning Revelation about the Forthcoming Governorship Election in Edo State

Babajide a veteran journalist, while speaking on the popular program “Journalist Hangout” on TVC news Friday August 7, made a stunning revelation about the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, says all political parties should shown violence because election is not a do or die affair. Babajide while reacting said “ I have to say I have my fears about these forthcoming election, and I hope my fears does not come past. As we can see the shenanigans in Edo state it is now visible that it is no more Oshiomole against Obaseki, it is now PDP against APC which could be devastating in the light of the politics going on now. Obaseki himself divided the APC, because all the lawmakers in Edo state belong to the APC but he divided them by inaugurating some lawmakers, and refusing to inaugurate others. Right now as it stands 17 lawmakers have decided to align with the APC and just 7 lawmakers is with the Governor. For me I think Obaseki should have averted these problem by just issuing a...

7 Ways to boost your brain

When it comes to mental endurance, there are a few ways to ensure a sharp mind and excellent concentration. Peter Jordan, Principal Officer of Fedhealth, explains that nutritionists emphasise the importance of healthy eating habits at such a particularly stressful time. “They advise that the right food and drink can energise your system, improve your alertness and sustain you through the long exam hours. On the other hand making the wrong dietary choices could leave you feeling jittery, sluggish or burned-out.” 1. Don’t skip meals For one, it’s important to make sure to eat. Even if you’re feeling nervous or nauseous, your brain needs the energy from food to work efficiently and stave off fatigue. However it is important to ensure it’s a light meal so you don’t feel too full. If you eat a big breakfast or lunch before an exam, you could feel drowsy and heavy, because your body’s energy is being channelled to the digestive system rath...
