Solskjaer tells club to re-sign former Man Utd attacker in January window

Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is making the case for Manchester United to sign Bournemouth attacker Josh King in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The 45-year-old made the perfect start to life in the Old Trafford dugout on Saturday, overseeing a 5-1 victory against Cardiff City – the Red Devils’ biggest Premier League win since Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.
But Solskjaer is keen to add even more firepower to an attack that was rampant in Wales, with The Sun claiming he wants to bring King back to Old Trafford.

Speaking at his unveiling, Solskjaer said he ‘will have an input’ in the upcoming January window and he is a huge admirer of countryman King.
The Norwegian forward has five goals in 15 Premier League appearances this season, as well as laying on two assists, and is valued at around £25million by Bournemouth.
Solskjaer worked with King while he was manager of the reserves, with the 26-year-old coming through the club’s academy – and, crucially, counting as a homegrown player.
United are thought to be wary of investing in players for Solskjaer in January, given that he will leave in the summer, but King has a long-time admirer in the form of prospective boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine, one of the leading contenders to take over at Old Trafford permanently, tried to sign King for Tottenham last year.
United are also believed to be in the market for a new centre-back – a position Jose Mourinho was desperate to strengthen before being axed – and are keeping tabs on Porto’s Eder Militao.

THE MASCARENE PARROT

The Mascarene parrot was 35 cm (14 in) in length with a large red bill and long, rounded tail feathers. Its legs were red, and it had naked red skin around the eyes and nostrils. It had a black facial mask and partially white tail feathers, but the colouration of the body, wings and head is unclear. Descriptions from life indicate the body and head were ash grey, and the white part of the tail had two dark central feathers. In contrast, descriptions based on stuffed specimens state that the body was brown and the head bluish but do not mention the dark central tail feathers. This may be due to the specimens having changed colour as a result of aging and exposure to light, as well as other forms of damage. Very little is known about the bird in life. The Mascarene parrot was first mentioned in 1674, and live specimens were later brought to Europe, where they lived in captivity . The species was scientifically described in 1771. Only two stuffed specimens exist today, in Paris and Vienn...
