Solskjaer Fernandes plan

Bruno Fernandes is a name Manchester United fans are familiar with, with the Sporting Lisbon star heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer long.

And Marca claim the Portugal international is subject to a three-player plan.

It is said that United want Fernandes, Christian Eriksen and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to make up for the potential departure of Paul Pogba to Real Madrid.

That seems far-fetched to us but whether or not the Red Devils sign anyone before Thursday's deadline is something only time will tell.

Eriksen decision made

Tottenham initially wanted clubs to pay an eyewatering £130million for Christian Eriksen.

But Spurs are willing to compromise in order to allow the Denmark international to make the stunning move to Manchester United.

Relations between the two teams have been strained ever since Dimitar Berbatov made the move to Old Trafford back in the summer of 2008.

But Tottenham's decision could now lead to United pulling off a sensational late transfer.

Dybala twist

Good morning and welcome to Express Sport's Manchester United transfer news LIVE blog.

We're starting big this morning and it appears the club could yet land Paulo Dybala from Juventus, despite Spurs' interest.

The Argentina international is wanted by United as part of a deal that would see Romelu Lukaku head to Turin.

And Italian journalist Tony Damascelli has said Dybala is willing to lower his wage demands in order to make the move to Old Trafford, despite refusing to do so at first.

"They tell me that Dybala has repented and now he would like to go to Manchester United ... He is being clever," he said.

THE MASCARENE PARROT

The Mascarene parrot was 35 cm (14 in) in length with a large red bill and long, rounded tail feathers. Its legs were red, and it had naked red skin around the eyes and nostrils. It had a black facial mask and partially white tail feathers, but the colouration of the body, wings and head is unclear. Descriptions from life indicate the body and head were ash grey, and the white part of the tail had two dark central feathers. In contrast, descriptions based on stuffed specimens state that the body was brown and the head bluish but do not mention the dark central tail feathers. This may be due to the specimens having changed colour as a result of aging and exposure to light, as well as other forms of damage. Very little is known about the bird in life. The Mascarene parrot was first mentioned in 1674, and live specimens were later brought to Europe, where they lived in captivity . The species was scientifically described in 1771. Only two stuffed specimens exist today, in Paris and Vienn...
