Bayern Munich humiliated Chelsea in the return leg of the last 16 of the Champions League following a 4-1 victory (7-1) on aggregate to advance to the last 8 of the tournament.
The scoreline said it all and it was humbling for Chelsea and warning to the rest of Europe from Bayern Munich.
Penalty
It was the worst start for Chelsea, as Lewandowski was played through on goal, looked to round Caballero and was caught as went down. The flag was up for offside, but VAR had a look and Emerson was playing him on. It was a yellow card for Caballero and a penalty to Munich.
Lewandoski stepped up t take it, he took his time with the run, went high to the right, and despite Caballero guessing correctly, it was inch-perfect.
Perisic goal
Ivan Perisic made it 2-0 for the hosts. Lewandowski had the ball on the edge, he squared right for Perisic in acres and he slotted it past Caballero with too much ease.
Disallowed goal
Out of nowhere, Chelsea pulled one back and it was a brilliant strike. Abraham held it up, 30 yards from goal, and laid it off to Hudson-Odoi. He took a touch, shrugging off Thiago, and picked his spot from 20 yards, curling into the right corner of the net beyond Neuer. But VAR was called into action to check for a possible offside. The goal could not stand as Hudson was in an offside position.
Tolisso goal
Tolisso can't believe his luck here. He's got so much space to score Bayern's third. It was Lewandowski's delivery from the left, and Tolisso just drifted in easily between Emerson and Zouma, who weren't on their toes. He controlled a finish goalwards from six yards; Caballero got a touch, but it ended up in the net.
Lewandowski brace
With only seven minutes remaining to stoppage time, Lewandowski bulleted home a header at the far post to further extend Bayern's advantage.
